Study on spatial form evolution of small-medium towns in Zhejiang Province.

Zhejiang Province is highly developing in economy. In the past twenty years, it has come through a urbanization path which gives priority to small-medium towns. Currently, towns develop in the course of new spatial form alternation between the old and new ones. Urban planning practices advance faster than ever before. This paper studies the important significance for urban planning theories and practice to exploring the variance and layout features of the five spatial elements in the small-medium towns, as well as to investigate the five stages of their spatial form evolution.
