Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of Tuina therapy with syndrome differentiation on the symptoms and signs of cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type and its influence on the indices of blood rheology and cerebral blood flow. Methods The 150 patients were randomized into the observed and control groups with 75 in each. The control group was treated by the routine Tuina therapy while the observed group by Tuina therapy with syndrome differentiation. The treatment was given once a day,5 times a week,4 weeks in all,for the observation on the scores of clinical symptoms and signs and the changes of indices of blood rheology and cerebral blood flow. Results The effect of 74 patients in the observed group and 72 in the control group were analyzed finally. The scores of main symptoms and signs of the two groups and the indices of blood rheology and cerebral blood flow were all improved(P0.01 or P0.05),but the effect the observed group was better(P0.05).Conclusion In relieving the symptoms and signs and improving the blood rheology and blood flow of vertebral basilar artery, the Tuina therapy with syndrome differentiation was better in effect than the routine Tuina therapy(P0.01 or P0.05).
