Abstract
Objective To study the impact of message therapy on hemorheology of patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type. Methods Patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type were selected as research objects and given message therapy. The high blood viscosity, low blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, whole blood reduced viscosity, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and hematocrit were compared before and after therapy. Results Patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type had significantly lower high blood viscosity, low blood viscosity, plasma viscosity and whole blood reduced viscosity after therapy than before therapy, with statistical significance(P 0.05). There was no significant difference in erythrocyte sedimentation rate and hematocrit before and after therapy(P0.05). Conclusion Message therapy can significantly improve high blood viscosity, low blood viscosity, plasma viscosity and whole blood reduced viscosity in patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type, demonstrating significant values for clinical therapy.
