Efficacy of Domestic Clopidogrel in Patients with Unstable Angina Pectoris and Diabetes Mellitus after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of domestic clopidogrel(Talcom) in patients with unstable angina pectoris and diabetes mellitus after PCI.Methods A total of 112 patients with unstable angina pectoris and type 2 diabetes mellitus who underwent PCI in our hospital were randomly divided into Talcom group(n=57) and Plavix(imported clopidogrel as contro)l group(n=65).The incidence of major adverse cardiac events(MACE),in-stent restenosis and side effects between the two groups were compared after 9 months follow up.Results There was no significant difference in the incidence of MACE(14.1% vs.15.3%,P0.05),side effects(24.5% vs 24.6%,P0.05) and in-stent restenosis(10.0% vs 11.4%,P0.05) between the 2 groups.Conclusion The efficacy and safety of domestic clopidogrel(Talcom) is similar to that of imported clopidogrel(Plavix).
