Abstract
The theory of identification and validation in the modal test was discussed.The hammering modal test was done for the gearbox housing in a certain tracked vehicle.The model parameters of every order characterizing the dynamic behavior of the housing were identified using PolyMAX method.The identified modal parameters were analyzed and validated using the frequency response function synthesis and the modal assurance criterion before the correction of the structure model and the following dynamic behavior study.The results indicate that the identified modal parameters are accurate.
