Abstract
The pre-test analysis and the modal testing theories were introduced.On this basis,Taking a certain complicated gearbox housing as the studying objective,its FEM model was set up and its pre-test analysis was conducted,and the measuring and exciting points of modal testing were optimized.With hammering modal testing,the housing structural modal parameters were identified.Through analyzing the frequency response functions(FRFs) and modal assurance criterion(MAC) obtained with tests and comparing with pre-test analysis,it wan shown that the pre-test analysis results are reasonable,the identified modal parameters with modal testing are believable.
