Abstract

Objective:To investigate the clinical features, mechanisms and prognosis of the acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients with normal coronary angiography (CAG). Methods:833 cases of AMI were examined by coronary angiography. The clinical features, mechanisms and prognosis of AMI with normal CAG were observed. Results:Among 833 cases of AMI, 42 cases (5%) were examined as normal CAG. Compared with abnormal CAG cases, normal CAG cases were younger and free of pre-infarction angina (P0.05). In cases with normal CAG, the percentage of hypertension or hyperlipemia, diabetes were obviously lower (P0.05) and the percentage of smokers and inducement were higher (P0.001) than that in abnormal CAG cases. In addition, there were better clinical outcome, fewer heart failure and total cardiac events in cases with normal CAG. Conclusion:5% cases of AMI with normal CAG are few accompanied with hypertension or hyperlipemia, diabetes and had a better prognosis compared with abnormal CAG cases. The mechanism maybe self-dissolved thrombus induced by coronary spasm or rupture of tiny atherosclerotic coronary plaques. The bridge of cardiac muscle also can induce AMI.
