Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of CT-guided percutaneous needle lung biopsy in the diagnosis of peripheral lung cancer. Methods 38 patients with suspected peripheral lung cancer received CT-guided percutaneous needle biopsy, and 32 patients in the control group received transbronchial lung biopsy. The biopsy diagnosis rate and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The diagnosis rate in CT-guided percutaneous needle lung biopsy group and trans- bronchial lung biopsy group was 89.47% and 46.88%,respectively,the difference between 2 groups was statistically significant(P 0.05); The incidence of complications in the patients of CT-guided percutaneous needle lung biopsy group and transbronchial lung biopsy group was 18.42% and 15.62%,respectively,the difference between 2 groups was not statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusion CT-guided percutaneous needle lung biopsy has high diagnostic accuracy rate and fewer complications for the diagno- sis of peripheral lung cancer.
