Abstract
Use of cupric sulphfate as catalyst on the esterification of dibutyl sebacate was studied The optimized conditions are as following:the weight of catalyst is 3 0g/0 05mol sebacic acid, the mole ratio of alchol to acid is 4,the reaction tim is 3 0h and 12ml benzene as water carrier The esterification yield for sebacic acid is about 97 23% Experimental results showed that cupric sulfate is a highly active catalyst for this reaction Less catalyst is required with little waste dischargement It is an inexpensive and very practical method
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
