Abstract
Flotation tests were carried out with a copper-cobalt ore from Congo-Kinshasa by adopting a flowsheet with copper-cobalt sulfide being floated before recovering copper-cobalt oxide. At a grinding fineness of-0.075 mm 80%,with CMC as the depressor for sulfide ore flotation while MB and Mac-12 as collectors, and NaHS as the sulphidizer for oxide ore flotation while MB and Mac-12 as collectors, copper and cobalt minerals were effectively reclaimed. The closed-circuit test produced a copper-cobalt sulfide concentrate graded 19.51% Cu and 0.28% Co,a copper-cobalt oxide concentrate graded 5.07% Cu and 0.31% Co,with the total recoveries of 89.63% Cu and 73.47% Co.
