The Study and Discussion of WANG Yi’s“Wen Yao Statement”

Wang Yi is the first one to offer criticism of YANG Weizhen’sTie Ya Tipoem style in the articleWen Yao.However there have been no careful researches on when it is written ex actly.Through the analysis of WANG Yi’s works,the article attempts to argue thatWen Yaois written in the spring and summer in the late Yuan Zhi-Zheng twenty-seven years when WANG Yi is besieged in Su Zhou.The intention ofWen Yaois opposing YANG Weizhen’sXiang Lian poetry,safeguarding poems consciously and standing in the Li theory position.We can point out that Wang Yi’sWen Yaoandcontrolled feelingsare intended to correct literary trend of Tie Ya Ti style in the region of Wu in the late Yuan,through the comparison of WANG Yi and YANG Wei zhen’s concept of poetry concept.WANG Yi’s spirit of independent criticism brings far-reaching in fluence on Jiading’s literary tradition and academic tradition.He pioneers Jiading’s unique character and atmosphere of real learning.Thereafter,learning ancient knowledge and not pursuing fashion develops into the common ideals of Jiading’s intellectuals in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
