Abstract

Jiang Ni shui uaims, in his article The Impact of Powers: From Ji Bo lin to Wen Yi duo, published in Literature Review (Volume 5, 2003) that Ji has a direct, important and crucial influence on Wen in arts and thinking. This article first introduces wen’s nine year life in Tstinghua University, in which Wen formed his early thinking and artistic values, followed by a discussion of his another nine year life in Xinan Union University, in which he made a great leap in thinking and artistic values. Then, it goes on to display and analyze Wen’s nationalistic ideas and his theory and practice of new rhythmic poets by placing them on the background of world trend as well as special Chinese history and culture. Finally it concludes that the shaping, development and change of Wen’s thinking and artistic ideas bear no direct or special relationship with Ji. Thus, It denies Jiang’s untrue words imposed on Mr. Wen Yi duo.
