Abstract

Objective: To explore the value of monitoring fetal renal artery blood flow with color ultrasound for predicting fetal distress. Methods: A total of 125 pregnant women during the third trimester of pregnancy who received routine examination in the hospital from March to October in 2013 were selected as study objects,and then they were divided into fetal distress group( 35 cases) and normal control group( 90 cases); color ultrasound was used to detect S / D ratio,pulsatility index( PI),and resistance index( RI) of fetal renal artery in the two groups. Results: Compared with normal control group,renal artery S / D ratio,PI value,RI value in fetal distress group increased significantly( P 0. 05); compared with mild group,renal artery S / D ratios,PI values,RI values in moderate group and severe group increased significantly,and S / D ratio,PI value,RI value in in severe group were statistically significantly higher than those in moderate group( P 0. 05); ROC curve showed that S/D ratio,PI value,RI value,sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value were( 83. 69%,82. 12%,91. 23%,88. 26%),( 86. 32%,84. 69%,89. 12%,87. 26%),and( 81. 34%,81. 66%, 90. 34%,91. 03%),respectively. Conclusion: Monitoring fetal blood flow indicators of renal artery with color ultrasound can predict fetal distress situation and the degree of hypoxia with high sensitivity and specificity.
