Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical value of four-dimensional(4D) color Doppler ultrasound examination in prenatal screening of fetal malformation. Methods The 4D color Doppler ultrasound was applied in 1 636 cases of pregnant women at 13 to 42 weeks for pregnancy prenatal examination, with a follow-up until 42 days postpartum when necessary. Results Thirty-two cases were detected with congenital defects out of the 1 636 cases, with a postpartum coincidence rate of 100%. But 3 cases with slight deformity were misdiagnosed. Conclusion Real-time 4D color Doppler ultrasound can observe fetal development, with multi-dimensional and multi-section display of abnormal structures and lesions, which had important clinical value in prenatal screening of fetal malformation.
