Abstract
The rail transit system of Karlsruhe Germany is introduced, especially the passenger-oriented concept.Xiamen,as a medium-sized city with limited scale of development should construct urban rail transit with reasonable density,on conditions of considering features of Xiamen landscape, referring to Karlsruhe mode and limited funds. The existed urban roads and railways would be rebuilt rationally into rail transit,to form the rail transit system with low transfer.
