Abstract

The characteristics of the light rail transit are analyzed, which have the medium transit capacity and the lower construction expense and the shorter construction cycle the line arrangement and the flexible utilization. The prospective application in china which is elaborated the main form of the big city rail transit and extended from the super city to outside to the satellite town. The characteristic of the light rail transit in China is analyzed. Some views on the application of light rail vehicles in China are proposed, which is for reference when urban rail transit is planned.
