Abstract
A report named Railway Noise and EU Policy: Key Issues——Position Paper by the Railway Forum provided by UK Railway Forum was reviewed in this paper.Combined with railway noise treatment and environmental impact assessment in China, Some proposal was offered for domestic railway noise control.Cost-benefit analysis should be mandatory in the process of setting noise abatement goals.Limit values for railway noise should incorporate the annoying difference between railway noise and other types of noise.Standard and treatment of railway noise should retain the existing distinction between existing and new infrastructure.Noise creation standard should not be applied retrospectively to existing vehicles.Noise mapping should be paid attention to and relative technique should be developed.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
