Abstract
To study the effects and mechanism of Golden Bifidobacterium on chronic viral hepatitis with deep jaundice. 80 patients with the disease were selected (randomly divided into control group and treatment group). The treatment group was given Golden Bifidobacterium on the basis of the same routine liver protection therapy with the group. The blood samples were respectively collected before and after therapy. The liver function was obtained on the collecting blood day. After all the samples were gathered, endotoxin, tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-6 (IL-6) were determined. Endotoxin was detected by using limulus lysate test (LLT), and the last two indexes were detected by using radioimmunoassay (RIA). After Golden Bifidobacterium therapy, the differences of the three indexes and total bilirubin (TBIL) between the treatment group and the control group were significant; and the complications in the treatment group were reduced. [Conclusion] Golden Bifidobacterium can abate the endotoxemia of the patients, and then can reduce the levels of the cytokines, so it can be used as a routine assistant therapy for the severe liver diseases.
