Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of remifentanil combined with propofol in total intravenous anesthesia for pediatric ENT surgery. Methods 80 children were randomly divided into two groups, namely group A and group B.The patients in group A received intravenous injection of remifentanil and propofol, and those in group B received fentanyl and sevoflurane. The data of hemodynamics and recovery of anesthesia at the end of operation were observed. Results There was significant difference in HR and MAP at the beginning and end of operation between the two groups(P0.01).A better recovery of postanesthesia, including the time of respiratory recovery, eye oper, extubating and orientation force recovery, was found in group A than that in group B(P0.01).But in group A there was higher rate of restlessness after operation than that in group B(P0.05).Conclusion Remifentanil combined with propofol infusion in intravenous anesthesia is a better way of anesthesia for pediatric ENT surgery.
