Some Reflections on Renminbi Internationalization

Abstract

While domestic currency circulation is defined by law, formation of international currency is mainly a process decided by market factors. Currently, in line with economic development in China, there are more and more discussions at home and abroad on RMB internationalization. This essay compares among countries and analyzes whether RMB has met the necessary conditions on internationalization, and discusses the appropriate process of internationalization.
