Research on Influence of Speed on Traffic Safety and Management

The influence of speed on traffic safety is outstanding.By analyzing the relationship between the speed and discreteness of vehicles and the number of traffic accidents and seriousness,this paper draws such a conclusion,i.e.the higher the speed is and the more the discreteness is,the more the number,rate and consequence of the traffic accidents are,and the bigger difference between the driving speeds of vehicles in adjacent sections will also increase the danger of road traffic.The paper puts forwards the speed management measures such as reasonable limitation for speed,decrease of speed discreteness and being aware of speed harmonization of vehicles in adjacent sections,etc.
