Abstract
As identical minimal inhibitory concentrations(MICs), 0.05mg/L of enrofloxacin lactate, enrofloxacin hydrochloride and enrofloxacin potassium for Pasteurella multocida were determined by the two fold dilution method in vitro. The therapeutic trials of these three drugs against experimentally induced fowl cholera were carried out in chicks following administerring the similer dose rate 5 mg/kg twice daily for 3 successive days either P.O. for enrofloxacin lactate and enrofloxacin hydrochloride or i.m. for enrofloxacin lactate and enrofloxacin potassium. 100%,96.7%,100% and 100% curative rates were obtained in order of the 4 above\|listed dosage groups. No significant different on body weight gains were observed too.
