The Academic Value of “Zuo Zhuan”

“Zuo Zhuan” has long been regarded as the first voluminous work of history with detailed narration in our country.It has also been esteemed as a prose with high literary values.The tradition of harmoniously integrating the ancient historical work with great literary values can be traced in this masterpiece.The monumental work will be explored in this dissertation paper in terms of its ideology,compilation and literary achievement.Meanwhile,its vital position in the histories of both historiography and literature is affirmed again in this paper.
