Abstract
Objective:A novel and promotional ion chromatographic method was developed for the simultaneous determination of food additives in beverage samples including acetic acid, tartaric acid, sorbic acid and benzoic acid. Methods:Ion Pac AS14A was selected as the separation column,5% acetonitrile-5 mmol/L Sodium Carbonate-5 mmol/L Sodium Bicarbonate was isocratic eluent. After being decolorized with activated carbon and filtrated, the samples was injected and analyzed by ion chromatography. Results:Enable to easily and effectively separate and determine four sorts of food additives in beverages. In this method, good relative(0.9993~0.9999),low detection limit(0.063 mg/L~0.45 mg/L,S/N=3),good average recoveries rates added standard(95.9%~101.5%) were obtained.Meanwhile,no interference was found in the presence of common inorganic anions. The results were satisfactory. Conclusion:Organic modifier could not only reduce the analysis time, but also improve the peak shape.Pre-treatment is simple, the method is accurate and detection limit is low.It is suitable for simultaneous determination of four sorts of food additives in beverages.
