Abstract
Referring to Drum-Buffer-Rope(DBR)theory,a novel scheduling strategy with the core of bottleneck equipment control was designed for a kind of complex manufacturing system with multi-reentrant flows. For bottleneck identification, the concept of layered bottleneck was presented, and the calculation methods of system bottleneck and sub-layer bottlenecks were discussed.Based on layered bottleneck thoughtway, the Different Layers Scheduling(DLS)algorithm and its implementation procedures for multi-reentrant manufacturing systems were further explored.Finally,HP-24 semiconductor production line was used as an example to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
