Abstract

The suitable combination of Armillaria mellea strain and fungal log is the key measure to ensure the high yield of Gastrodia elata. In order to screen out the right combination for high yield with superior quality of Gastrodia elata,1 germination strains,2 species of fungal logs,7 strains of Armillaria mellea collected from local place in Zhaotong, and 1 exotic strain of A.mellea were selected and experimentally co-cultivated with Gastrodia elata. The germination of G.elata seeds, and the yield and quantity of G.elata were determined separately in the cultivation experiment. The results showed that the seed germination of G.elata was not only influenced by the germination strain, but also related to the strain of Armillaria mellea, and the highest germination rate was got by the combination of SNA04.Except for the 'fungal logⅡ-SNA11' combination, all other combinations of fungal logⅡ(Betula alnoides) inoculated Armillaria mellea could grow Gastrodia elata with significantly higher yield and better quantity than those combinations of fungal logⅠ(Dipentodon sinicus) with the same Armillaria mellea strains.
