Prevention of the Recurrence of Tension-free Hernia after Tension-free Plug and Mesh Hernia Repair-report of 10 cases

Abstract

Objective To discuss the reasons and countermeasures for recurrence of tension free plug mesh hernia after tension free hernia repair. Methods The recurrent situation of 10 cases of inguinal hernia after tension free plug mesh hernia repair was studied. Results The main postoperative recurrent reasons were as following: The plug mesh didn't place and suture well, and the high abdominal pressure still existed. Conclusion To decrease recurrent rate of tension free hernia after tension free plug mesh hernia repair, the procedure of fixed plug mesh should be improved and the factors of high abdominal pressure should be restricted.
