Abstract
The title core-shell structure styrene-acrylate emulsion has been prepared based on styrene-butyl acrylate-methyl methacrylate-acrylic acid terabasic polymer and by use of pre-emulsification and semi-continuous seed polymerization technology, which is used to formulate the exterior architectural coatings. This article is focused on discussion of the influence of amount of emulsifier and acrylic acid and ratio of monomers in core on the coatings performance. The structure of polymer emulsion is characterized by use of MDSC and IR.
