Efficacy of Combined Treatment with Ningmitai Capsule and Prostant on Chronic Refractory Prostatitis in 100 Cases

Objective To investigate the efficacy of ningmitai capsule combined with prostant in the treatment of chronic refractory prostatitis. Methods 100 cases of chronic prostatitis before entered the study group were treated with various traditional Chinese medicine and western drugs and showed no effectives. These patients underwent a combined treatment of ningmitai capsule and prostant for 4 weeks. The clinical symptoms and clinical testing results were observed. Results All cases were treated for 4～6 weeks and followed up for 4 weeks. 38 cases were cured,19 cases were improved significantly, 15 cases were slightly improved, only 28 cases did not response to the therapy. Total effective rate was 72%. Conclusion Ningmitai capsule combined with prostant is a good alternative treatment for chronic refractory prostatitis.
