On the Application of Discourse Analysis in Translation Studies

Abstract
Many western linguists have led discourse analysis into translation studies, whose theoretical basis is Halliday's Systemic Functional Grammar. This is particularly true of discourse analysis, which is no longer restricts itself to the language, but rather relates to the world and to other disciplines as well as to the communicative function of language. It presents a functional Linguistics terms of discourse analysis in the use of translation studies, and discourse analysis theory has a strong practical and operational by case analysis. So discourse analysis has a wide range of application in translation studies.
