Abstract

A new method for the analysis of trace 14 rare earth elements in cerium oxide(99.99%) by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES) was established. The spectra interferences were investigated in detail, then the proper analysis lines were selected.Simultaneously, matrix matching effect was analyzed by determining samples, and the detection limits range from 0.013 to 0.317 μg/mL depending on the elements. This method was simple, fast and exact, which had the reference value on analyzing practical samples.
