Observation of clinical effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on urological postoperative pain

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of comprehensive nursing for urological postoperative pain. Methods 216 urological patients were divided into control group and observation group with 108 cases in each group. The control group were patients admitted to our hospital from February to August,2013,and they were given ordinary nursing. The observation group were patients admitted to our hospital from September,2013 to February,2014,and they were given comprehensive nursing based on the ordinary nursing. Then,the pain degree,psychological state,satisfaction degree and incidence of adverse reactions of all patients after the surgery were compared. Results Pain degree of the observation group was lighter than that of the control group( P 0. 01). The percentage of relaxed patients in the observation group was higher than that in the control group( P 0. 01). But the percentages of tension,anxiety and termagancy in the observation group were lower than those of the control group( P 0. 05 or 0. 01). Besides,the satisfaction degree for nursing of the observation group was higher than that of the control group( P 0. 01). 42 cases in the control group had adverse reactions,with an incidence rate of 38.89%,and 16 cases in the observation group had adverse reactions,with an incidence rate of 14. 8%,so the difference between two groups was statistically significant( χ2= 15. 9337,P = 0. 0001). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing for urological patients can effectively relieve postoperative pain,maintain good mental state,reduce the incidence of adverse reactions as well as improve their satisfaction for nursing.
