Application of intravenous anesthesia during whole lung lavage in pulmonary alveolar proteinosis

Abstract
Objective To observe the treatment methods of pulmonary alveolar proteinosis. Methods The data of 5 cases of pulmonary alveolar proteinosis,who admitted from 2006 to 2008 in Taihe hospital,had treated by whole lung lavage during intravenous anesthesia were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Results 5 cases were followed up for 2 to 20 months,symptoms and pulmonary function are improved significiantly after lung lavage treatment. Conclusion The method is characterized by induction equability,stabilization during operation,analepsia rapidly,accelerated progress of healing up,so it is the first effective way to treat pulmonary alveolar proteinosis.
