Abstract

Objective To study the distribution and lessions degree of electrophysiological abnormalities of patients with GBS and evaluate and appraise its significance. Methods Fifty-four patients received electrophysiological examination.Distal motor latency(DML),motor conduction velocity(MCV),compound muscle action potential(CMAP) and sensory conductive velocity(SCV) were recorded. Results The abnormal rate of MCV(77.0%) was higher than of SCV(59.4%)(χ2=5.115,P0.05);DML of distal muscles were the same as that of proximal muscles;DMLof muscles of upper limbs were epuly with that of lower limbs; The severe lesion rate of DMLof distal muscles(75.6%) was higher than that of proximal muscles(47.4%)(χ2=14.62,P0.01).Conclusion Electrophysiological changes of GBS are extensive. The motor nerve is easier to be damaged than sensory nerve, and the damage degree is more severe on distal nerve than proximal nerve.
