Blood NO,ET and SOD Changes in Patients with Cancer

Abstract

To study blood NO,ET and SOD changes in patients with cancer.The ET and SOD levels were measured by radioimmunoassay and the NO level was determined by using reduction method in 50 patients of carcinoma or in 20 controls.The serum NO and plasma ET levels in the patients were higher than which in the controls(P0.05),and the serum SOD in the patients was lower(P0.05).The levels of NO,ET and SOD in 20 patients with metastasis before treatment were significantly higher than which after treatment(P0.05).But the level of NO,SOD,ET after treatment were still higher than the normal (P0.05).[Conclusions]NO,ET and SOD may be associated with carcinogenesis.
