Clinical trials of cefaclor capsules for therapy of respiratory tract infections

Abstract

A controlled study of therapeutic effects between Xinhua cefaclor capsules in 56 patients (M 32, F 24;age 41 ±s 15 a)and Dista cefaclor capsule in 30 patients(M 19,F 11;age 39±17 a) with respiratory tract infections was done.The dosages were all 0.25-0.5 g,po,tid for 7-10 d.Results showed that the clinical response rates,bacterial eradication rates were 88%,90%,and 85%,86%,respectively.Adverse reactions rate was 11% in Xinhua cefaclor group and 10% in Dista cefaclor group. The therapeutic effects between the two groups were not statistically different(p0.05).
