Expermental Research on Inlet-Outlet Hydraulics of Upper Pool in Wulongshan Pumped-Storage Hydroplant

Abstract

The design of side inlet-outlet is applied in upper pool of Wulongshan pumped-storage plant,the symmetrical vertical curved reaches are placed near the inlet-outlet of the diversion tunnel.Based on the experiment in this paper,the hydraulics of the inlet-outlet is studied,the distribution of vertical velocity of inlet-outlet、the discharge distribution in each passage、the head loss and the inflow vortex are tested,the results are valuable for designs of similar project.
