Clinical Analysis of 51 Cases of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in Children

Abstract

Objective:To summarize the clinical and laboratory features of systemic lupus erythematosus in 51 pediatric cases.Methods: The clinical data of 51 cases of systemic lupus erythematosus in children were analyzed retrospectively.Results: The common clinical manifestations were renal damage(84.3%),fever(70.6%),skin rash(68.8%),and enlarged lymph nodes(41.2%).The common laboratory findings included positive anti-ANA antibody(90.0%),depressed complement level(90.0%),quickened ESR(84.0%)andanaemia(83.6%).Activity in disease(SLEDAI score)in the most cases were at mild to moderate levels.Conclusion:The clinical manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus in children are diverse.It is necessary to analyze in combination with laboratory findings,in order to get a sound diagnosis and active treatment.
