Abstract

Hepatic fibrosis is a repair reaction of liver which is caused by a variety of chronic factors and lead to intrahepatic cytogenesis sustained, repeated necrosis or inflammatory stimulation and as the characteristic of excessive deposition of the extracellular matrix(ECM) and hepatic stellate cells(HSC) activation. It is not an independent disease, but many chronic liver diseases common pathological process, continuous progress can lead to liver inside normal tissue structure alteration formation cirrhosis of the liver and the emergence of a variety of life-threatening complications, the prognosis is poor.As the existing fiber degradation process, the liver fibrosis reversal can avoid progress to liver cirrhosis.Research shows that targeted connective tissue growth factor(CTGF) siRNA(small interfering RNA) may inhibit not only HSC's activation and proliferation but also ECM's synthesis in order to obstruct liver fibrosis.CTGF siRNA mediated gene silence for treatment of liver fibrosis opens a new way.
