Study on the Triple Therapy Associated with Xianglianpian Eradicating Helicobacter Pylori Infection in patients with Duodenal Ulcer

Objective:to investigate the Helicobacter Pylori(Hp) eradication by triple therapy associated with Xianglianpian(xlp) and its curative effect on duodenal ulcer(DU) when compared with the one-week triple therapy.Methods:120 case patients in DU active period confirmed by gastroscopy,also positive in rapid urease test(RUT) and serum anti-Hp antibody(ELASE) or pathological examination, were divided into four groups:OACX group,OMCX group,OACgroup and OMC group.They respectively received treatment with OACX(omeprazole 20mg + amoxicillin 1000mg + clarithromycin 250mg+xianglianpian 5 tablet),OMCX(omeprazole 20mg + metronidazole 400mg + clarithromycin 250mg+xianglianpian 5 tablet),OAC(omeprazole 20mg + amoxicillin 1000mg + clarithromycin 250mg) and OMC(omeprazole 20mg + metronidazole 400mg + clarithromycin 250mg).All the groups were provided with triple therapy firstly twice a day for seven days continuously,then provided with single omeprazole 20mg once a day for 28 days respectively.28-56 days after takeing the medicine,13C urea breath test was performed to judge the effect of Hp eradication rate.In the first,second,third, seventh,twenty first and thirty fifth day,the symptoms of patients such as epigastric gnawing,burning pain and acidity were evaluated simultaneously. Results:108 patients accomplished all therapy scheme,with 12 patients not being followed up.The results of checking Hp eradication rate were as follows:OACX group,92.9%(26/28);OMCX group,85.7%(24/28);OAC group,66.7%(18/27)and OMC group, 60.0%(15/25).The distinction between the four groups had significancy(P0.01).As for improvement of symptoms,all of the three groups could improve the symptoms such as epigastric gnawing,burning pain and acidity since the first day,but the descending breadth of total scores of OACX and OMCX was significantly higher than that of the OAC and OMC group(P0.05～0.01).Conclusions:A high eradication rate can be achieved with one-week OACX or OMCX triple therapy.Thus,one-week triple therapies with OACX and OMCX are highly recommended for Chinese patients with duodenal ulcers.And as far as alleviating symptoms is concerned,OACX and OMCX group were also better than OAC and OMC group.
