On Present Status and Affecting Factors of Teachers' Participation in Physical Activities in Universities in Hunan Province

This paper finds that most teachers in universities in Hunan Province participate in physical activities once or twice every week and for 30 minutes every time. The events selected are mainly running, walking, football, basketball and volleyball. The main affecting factors are working pressure, insufficient time, lacking physical education knowledge and some play ground. Besides, the universities pay little attention to the administration and direction of these physical activities participated by teachers.
