Abstract
The concept of individualism is the result of development of modern western culture. The ancient natural environment, the modern Renaissance and the religion reform accelerate the western individualism to come into being. Individualism doesn't equal to egoism. The representation of individualism in US is sufficient. Individualism is the core of American culture and it possesses multiformity and complexity.
