Abstract

Individualism is the basic idea of value,moral rule and political theory of western neoteric and modern society.Traditional individualism is rationalist individualism.However,with the development of capitalism,rationalist individualism evolves gradually into irrationalist individualism.The evolution results from the inherent cultural mechanism of individualism and the rise of irrationalism in the west at the end of 19th century.
