Abstract
The principal part of compulsory education of our country is in rural areas. For a long time, the investment for compulsory education in rural areas has been seriously insufficient, which is reflected in many broken and dangerous school houses and classrooms;poor quality of library materials, teaching equipment, and sports facilities;and low payment for teachers with frequent delay of payment. In order to solve more effectively the problems of compulsory education in rural areas, people's government should be the main body of investment and social sectors the secondary sources.Meanwhile, people's government at all levels should be clear about thier duties to ensure sufficient and timely investment for compulsory education in rural areas.
