Safety and Efficacy Assessment of Digoxin Combined with Furosemide for Chronic Cardiac Failure

Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of digoxin combined with furosemide maintenance treatment of chronic cardiac failure.Methods Cases of outpatient or hospitalized patients with chronic cardiac failure,from 2009 to 2011 in our hospital,were collected.After the patients condition was stable,more than 7 days′ digoxin combined with furosemide was given to 60 patients,24 of which were hospitalized and the other 36 cases were outpatients,on the basis of routine drugs treatment such as ACEI and β receptor retardant.Safety and efficacy of digoxin combined with furosemide were analyzed.Results Oral administration 0.125 mg digoxin combined with 20 mg furosemide quote of the day had the lowest incidence of digitalism and abnormality of electrolyte,moreover,effective rate of improved cardiac function was near 75.0%.Conclusion It′s safe and effective for patients with chronic cardiac failure treated by taking orally low dosage of digoxin combined with furosemide quote of the day.
