Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical significance of digital subtraction angiography(DSA) and endovascular embolization treatment in acute arterial gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Methods Ten cases of acute arterial gastrointestinal hemorrhage patients underwent DSA and 9 of them received subsequent intervention by gelatin sponge and coil transcatheter endovascular embolization. Results Of the 10 cases,8 showed positive DAS results.Hemostatic success rate of the 9 cases treated by endovascular embolization was 100%,with no recurrence nor severe complications. The left one case underwent open surgery, with accurate preoperative localization. Conclusion With high reliability, high safety, low complication rate and remarkable effects, the treatment method of emergency endovascular embolization for acute arterial gastrointestinal hemorrhage is clinically preferable.
