Application value of ultrasound in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant polypoid lesions of gallbladder

Abstract

Objective To investigate the application value of ultrasound in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant polypoid lesions of gallbladder. Methods ultrasound imaging obtained from 40 cases with polypoid lesions of gallbladder were retrospectively analyzed in comparison with pathological diagnosis. Results There were significant differences between benign and malignant gallbladder diseases in the aspect of pathological changes irregularly,wide basilar part,local discontinuous gallbladder wall,cholecystolithiasis(P0.05).the sensitivity,diagnostic specificity and accuracy of malignant gallbladder diseases was 73.33%(11/15),72.00%(18/25) and 72.50%(29/40) respectively. Conclusion ultrasonography has an important application value in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant polypoid lesions of gallbladder.
