Abstract
The Ru-Pt/AlOOH catalyst was prepared by impregnation and hydrothermal reduction and was used for catalytic hydrogenation of methyl propionate to n-propanol in water solvent. The effect of metal loading, solvent volume, reaction time, reaction temperature and hydrogen pressure were investigated in detail. The results indicated that the conversion of methyl propionate and the selectivity to n-propanol were obviously affected by these reaction conditions.Under the conditions of 180℃,hydrogen pressure 5.0MPa,reaction time 10 h,the conversion of methyl propionate attained to 89.1% and the selectivity to n-propanol was 97.8%.
