Abstract
The Ru/AlOOH catalyst was prepared by impregnation and hydrothermal reduction and characterized by XRD.The catalytic behavior of Ru/AlOOH catalyst for hydrogenation of methyl propionate in water solvent was investigated.The results indicated that Ru exists in Ru0 and is well dispersed over the AlOOH support.The conversion of methyl propionate and the selectivity to propanol were obviously affected by reaction time,reaction temperature,hydrogen pressure and solvent volume.Under the conditions of 180 ℃,PH2 =5.0 MPa,reaction time 10 h,the conversion of methyl propionate reached 85.9% and the selectivity to propanol was 94.0%.
