Acupuncture with Warmed Needle in Treating 30 Cases of Knee Osteoarthritis

Abstract

To explore the curative effect of acupuncture with wanned needle for knee osteoarthritis (KOA),60 cases of KOA were divided randomly into the treatment group with warmed needle and the control group with intermediate frequency therapeutic machine,and their curative effects were compared after two courses of treatment.The results showed that the total effective rate of the treatment group was 90%,and the control group was 83.3%,there was difference between them (P0.05).This indicates that acupuncture with warmed needle has better effect for KOA.
